Here is something for Indian racing fans to cheer about, especially those who are in Mumbai. Formula One ace driver Lewis Hamilton will burn rubber in his race car on the evening of September 16 (Sunday), on streets of Mumbai, just a week ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
As per media reports, Lewis Hamilton will drive his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27 car on the Marine Drive, a prominent street of Mumbai.
Watching a F1 car go past the historic and breath-taking landscape of Marine Drive in South Mumbai, would be a unique experience for sporting fans.
Lewis will enthrall the crowd driving in his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27 car along the curves of the brilliantly illuminated Queen’s necklace (Marine Drive) that will be made to look like a Formula 1 race track complete with grand stand and pit garage.
The ambience, the driving skills of Lewis and lightning fast speeds of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car is sure to leave the audience spellbound. Some lucky customers will have the privilege of riding with Lewis Hamilton and a chance of visiting the pit garage to see the technology behind the team, powered by Vodafone.

This racing event will be preceded by a hot of other activities at select malls in Mumbai starting 11th September. The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes show car will be put on display in these malls in Mumbai for the fans to get up close and personal with these huge racing machines. Apart from this the Helmet simulator and the Car simulator will offer a near real expericne to fans.
There will also be a Pit Stop Challenge to change the race tyres in shortest possible time. This challenge will be perfect for those looking for an adrenaline rush.
This all is the run up to the Indian Grand Prix which is scheduled to take place on 28th October 2012 at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida near New Delhi.
